Project Scope
The purpose of this project was to rehabilitate 17.6 miles of Hurricane Ridge Road, including pullouts and parking areas. DJ&A provided the overall design as well as Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E) development for the Hurricane Ridge Road Project in Olympic National Park. The scope of work included the reconstruction of the existing asphalt and aggregate paving structure while avoiding disturbance to existing cut and fill slopes.
DJ&A established horizontal and vertical alignment to duplicate existing alignment, generated cross-sections and earthwork specifications, provided typical section drawings and station ranges for proposed subgrade digout areas, in addition to performing condition analysis of existing culverts with recommendations for those needing replacement as well as center line field staking surveys.
