DJ&A was tasked with designing lake access improvements within the Big Larch Campground in Seeley Lake, Montana. The project scope included the design of a new concrete boat ramp, an ADA-accessible floating dock and gangway, traffic flow improvements via the implementation of a boat prep area, and lakeshore restoration.
The Big Larch boat ramp receives heavy usage throughout the summer, with only one boat launch lane and no boat prep area the existing facility couldn’t accommodate the high volume of users. The design provided by DJ&A created two boat launch lanes, lengthened the dock length, and created a boat prep turnout area within the parking lot.
