Purpose
To help cultivate the next generation of engineers and professionals in related fields, DJ&A offers annual academic scholarships to qualified students seeking careers in the core professions we employ: civil and structural engineering, planning, landscape architecture, surveying, environmental science, and GIS.
We annually award multiple scholarships of up to $2,500 each, applicable toward any educational expense.
Our scholarships support high-potential students in the aforementioned disciplines who bring creativity and innovative thinking to the field. We especially welcome applicants who have taken non-traditional paths to pursue engineering – for example, students who may be the first in their families to pursue a college degree, are transitioning from other careers, etc.
As part of this scholarship program, recipients also have the option to work with a mentor in their field at DJ&A. This mentor can grow the recipients’ understanding of career options, facilitate personal and professional growth, and provide other support. This can help our recipients feel prepared for their career and ready to navigate professional challenges. Mentorship is optional; the decision to participate will occur after recipients are selected and will not factor into an applicant’s chances of receiving a scholarship.
We are currently accepting applications for students who meet our eligibility requirements.
