At DJ&A, we are always exploring new ways to expand our capabilities and serve our clients better. And as we continue to grow and complete more and more work for federal agencies, we have noticed a growing demand for environmental compliance services from our clients.
Today, I’m thrilled to announce our acquisition of Ecosystem Research Group (ERG), a locally and nationally recognized environmental consulting firm. The merger of our firms will strengthen our ability to provide the comprehensive engineering and environmental services our clients desire, while also providing growth and new opportunities for our employees.
ERG was founded in 1997 in Missoula by Gregory Kennett and has grown over the last 22 years to employ fourteen environmental scientists, planners, and GIS professionals. They will bring significant expertise in resource modeling, monitoring, permitting, and planning expertise to our firm.
Similar to DJ&A, ERG is headquartered in Missoula and has built a strong presence both locally in our community and for federal clients across the nation. Our firms already share many of the same clients, including Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Forest Service, and local tribal agencies.
“Ecosystem Research Group has been providing quality environmental consulting services for over 20 years. We are looking forward to combining our team’s expertise with DJ&As,” said Gregory Kennett, former president and founder of ERG and now Senior Project Manager at DJ&A. “The merging of these two companies will result in new, exciting professional teams and allow us to offer a wider range of services to current and future clients.”
We have great respect for the team at ERG and look forward to creating long-term value through this acquisition for both our employees and our clients.
