Project Scope
The Fernan Lake Road project included the final design and PS&E Development
for 10.3 miles of road design for a rural highway reconstruction project. The project included the design of a 444’ concrete
curved-deck bridge around Lilly Pad Bay. Other project
elements include:
- Construction Engineering Support
- Trailhead parking lot design
- Culvert Design
- MSE Wall design
- Rock bolting and stabilization
- Utility Relocation Coordination
- Right-of-Way negotiation and acquisition
- Right-of-Way Monumentation
Fernan Lake Road is currently under construction, and is scheduled
to be completed this summer. Unique challenges included
sedimentation concerns along Fernan Lake, steep driveway
accesses, and design of a wetland mitigation site to mitigate for
anticipated wetland impacts from the project. |
